Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers appetizer

These poppers are the perfect appetizer, cheesy, crispy and full of flavor! I'm including the recipe on this one so you can try these at home.

Makes 10 Poppers

  • 5 medium to large jalapeño peppers (seeds and ribs removed)
  • 3/4 block of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 slices of shelf (precooked) bacon

Instructions

Cut the poppers in half. For presentation, try to cut the stems in half as well. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the prepped jalapeños.

In a bowl, mix the cheeses with a rubber spatula until thoroughly mixed. Use a small spoon to fill each jalapeño with the cheese mixture. You will have a little of the mixture left over. It's great on a bagel!

Sprinkle a little bit of the shredded cheese on top. You could get crazy and sprinkle on some parmesan or paprika—it's your party, go for it!

Wrap each pepper with bacon, starting in the middle and covering as much area as possible. Hold in place with toothpicks.

Bake for 15–20 minutes until bacon is crispy and peppers are loosened up. Let stand for 3–5 minutes and enjoy!
